What if you
were awakened in the middle of the night by an entity real, imagined, or
half-way in-between and it was a thousands of years old decrepit and evil
ghost-like thing that sat on your back or chest and slowly, ever so slowly,
called out your name like it had you and wanted to keep you? What if it came
back the next week, this darkness, to try and get you again after you managed
to fight it off with your mind? Or, what if you fell out of your body and rose
to the ceiling and then knew that there is a second body, and therefore
possibly seven bodies or less or more! That part would be good news. What if
spirit spoke to you in signs and symbols that made sense, and helped you along
the way? None of this would be nonduality. Nonduality, though nothing really,
and everything, would just be the infinite contextual field where all this is
taking place. So, in a strange way, non-duality is not helpful at all. But it
seems to sustain. The world and the body-mind goes on. And if it doesn’t, or
when it doesn’t, that is nonduality also. If nonduality is oneness, then true
oneness can never be gotten out of. There is nothing but nonduality. So
nonduality does not mean anything at all, and it means everything,
simultaneously and against logic and reason.
