Should
nonduality invalidate channelling? What is meant by this is that,
hypothetically, most nonduality speakers or persons interested would, one might
say, laugh the idea of channelling out of the room! If nonduality says, in its
purest sense, that there is no person to begin with, and the whole drama,
story, and so is made up because nothing is happening to the ‘I’ in the moment,
then what might it say about channelling? It might say that the person is a
dream within a story, and channelling is worse! - A dream within a dream, -
doubly delusional if you will. But maybe it is all happening; surely it is,
within the one single thing that is all things. So, everything must be included.
Within everything, there could be, say, phoney channels, gurus, seers. Secondly
there could be ones that think they are doing something real but are only
playing with their own imagination and have not figured this out yet. And
thirdly, there could be real channels. A true nonduality, though there could be
no such thing really, would allow for such things. Of course, in as pure sense
as we can get to with words, as we can indicate, nondualtiy would not be really
the phoney book of channelled material or the real book of channelled material,
or what the words inside them are taken to mean in an imagined consensual
reality. It would be, rather, at that moment, the book, the table, the podium
at which the phoney speaker is speaking and the podium at which the genuine
speaker is speaking. It would be the lights, the carpet and flooring, the
sounds of the birds outside the window, and/or the silence or pauses. Both
groups of people have to go after their talks to get a coffee or lunch, to put
petrol in their automobiles in order to get home, if that is an economic
assumption, to walk to take a bus or ride a bike. It doesn’t matter because nondaily
is everything so it is the tires, the spokes, the oil, the clicking of a nail
that has affixed itself in a tire and is slowly channelling out the air. And
what would a bird, a peace dove beautiful, or a dreadful hawk in the middle of
killing something, know, care, or understand about some language in a book.
Those beings, plus the grass and sky, the insects and the ants and such-like,
are already enlightened.
